COP30 High-level Event: Delivering Climate Solutions through Country Platforms
12:30 – 14:00 GMT-3, COP30, Blue Zone, Special Event Room São Francisco
15 November 2025
As nations urgently seek to enhance climate ambition and implementation, country and regional platforms are emerging as vital tools for mobilizing financing aligned with national priorities. These platforms translate mitigation, adaptation, and economic development goals into actionable investment strategies, facilitating impactful, country-led climate initiatives.
This high-level event co-organised by Ministry of Finance of Brazil and GCF will showcase the strategic role of country platforms in channeling climate finance, featuring formal announcements of new initiatives from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean. Notably, Brazil’s Climate and Ecological Transformation Investment Platform, supported by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), exemplifies the potential of such mechanisms with USD 22.8 billion in climate-aligned investments.
The event will also highlight the GCF’s support modalities and introduce the South-South Country Platforms Knowledge Hub, aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation to accelerate effective climate action through shared knowledge.
