Complementarity & coherence

The Governing Instrument sets out that the Fund shall operate in the context of appropriate arrangements between itself and other existing funds under the Convention, and between itself and other funds, entities, and channels of climate change financing outside the Fund. The Governing Instrument also set out that the Fund will promote coherence in programming at the national level through appropriate mechanisms and initiate discussions on coherence in climate finance delivery with other relevant multilateral entities.  

Policies on complementarity and coherence elaborate an operational framework for implementing these activities.
