NDA Strengthening and Country Programming for Mali through Environment and Sustainable Development Agency

The Government of Mali has the ambition to transform the country’s economy into a green and climate resilient economy. To achieve this goal, the government is developing an "Investment Plan for a Green and Climate Resilient Economy" covering investments from various sources of finance, and will also include priorities for financing by the Green Climate Fund (the Fund).

In this context, Mali’s Agency for the Environment and Sustainable Development (AEDD) had received, in April 2015, the support of the Fund to kick-start the process through a workshop that took place from 7th to 10th April 2015.

With this request, the government intends to take forward the recommendations that emerged from the workshop with the aim of securing commitments from the Fund before the COP21 in Paris.
